I am writing this petition to gain signatures to present to the local Member of Parliament, Chris Picton, for Kaurna. Also, to those who demonstrate their interest on the planning and development of Moana Sands. 

I have been informed that the sand dune land and kangaroo habitat is planning to be developed into another housing estate that the Onkaparinga community will struggle to accommodate. The Onkaparinga Council has stated that approximately half of the land in the image above is under planning. Many have commented on their appreciation for the natural land that is preserved within the Onkaparinga region and would be devastated for the land to be abolished.

In another petition to maintain land in the area, local Kaurna Member of Parliament, Chris Picton, stated that there is no need for the remaining land in the area to be built on. If the land was to be built on, the effect on the community would be significant as the members of the community would have been disrespected. More importantly, the development would destroy the habitats of all animals who call the land home and would also contribute to global warming through cement production as carbon dioxide enters the atmosphere.

It would be very much appreciated if the construction business considered the opinions of those who contribute to this petition.
