The Stage Challenge foundation has made the drastic decision to cancel both the Stage Challenge & J Rock competitions for this year. Each year about 200 schools, 16,000 participants and an audience of 25,000 people turn out for the events, held at more than 10 venues around the country. In some schools, these competitions are the only arts/cultural events on the school calendar. For some rural schools this is the only event. 

How can we stop this from happening? 

Tell the Stage Challenge Foundation, the Ministry of Education, and Chris Hipkins the Education Minister that we won’t stand idly by while opportunities for participation in the Arts are dwindling away.
