Problem/Reasons: Seattle has a lack of non-arena concert venues that fulfills in between the likes of the Paramount Theatre (3,000 maximum) and the redeveloping Seattle Center Arena (15,000-19,000 for concerts).

• The Past: Seattle Center used to have the Civic Auditorium (also known as Mercer Arena) that had the capacity between 5,000 seats to the maximum 8,000 fans but is now defunct in favor of the Seattle Opera House, including the McCaw Hall.
• The Present: Some of us are avoiding the unreserved WaMu Theater (3,300-7,200) because of its configuration within the CenturyLink Event Center that is too big for an all-standing floor/general admission events, which is unsuitable for proper concerts.
• The Future: At one point, we liked the idea of Chris Hansen's proposal that included a mid-sized indoor concert hall (6,200 seats) because it gave us the idea of what Seattle needs to fill in the void in the Pacific Northwest region. However, the proposal dismissed by the Office of Economic Development because that project never officially submitted during the RFP process for KeyArena.

Solution: The Armory in Seattle Center is the only indoor venue that does need an interior renovation for live music purposes just like the functions in Minneapolis (8,400) and Washington DC (10,000). So, our goal is to fill in the city's gap by making a similar proposal of a new permanent, year-round basis, medium-sized indoor music venue as part of redeveloping the second level of Seattle Center's Armory and must adequately submit to the Office of Economic Development. Otherwise, our favorite artists that we want to see will either perform at other non-arena concert venues that are unreserved or skip the city at all, before these big acts would move on into the arena level.

Benefit To Who? The new and improved Armory in the Seattle Center will benefit not only our concertgoers but also to the artists who are looking to perform in the largest non-arena concert venue in Seattle.
