Hello everyone,
Just a note to say that we have had an surge in interest and signatures over the last couple of weeks.
With the District Council By Election taking place next month the bridge has been a focus in the campaign with UKIP and the Green Party Candidate coming out in support of local campaigners.
The UKIP candidate was unable to stand due to a clerical error but the Green Party Candidate (Yours truly ) Remains on the ballot.
Last Friday saw over 100 signatures and this coincided with the visit to the Crossing of the Green Party Deputy Leader Amelia Womack.
Amelia spoke for 6/7 minutes on BBC radio Berkshire about the crossing and endorsed the campaign in order to reduce congestion and improve air quality, while at the same time calling on West Berkshire Council to implement an integrated transport and environmental policy to offer alternatives to car to car use over short distances.
Details of the campaign can be found here.

Thanks for your continued support, I hope by bringing this issue to the political table we can finally make some headway in getting it firmly on the agenda at the district council.
Please share and encourage others to sign the petition.
Regards and best wishes.
Steve Masters
