Do you want to swim in unguarded beaches?

Hollywood lifeguards jobs are at risk of being cut to save funds, affecting the condominium areas, as well as the North Beach. The plan calls for reduction of lifeguard presence, which will most definitely have an impact on public Safety, and the image of Hollywood as safe, family-friendly destination

We the residents and patrons of Hollywood beach do not agree with this initiative, as the public in general is bound to suffer from this change. Hollywood is NOT a Seasonal or Weekend Beach, in fact, Hollywood is now busier than ever, and is busy all year-round thanks to projects such as the Diplomat Resort, Margaritaville, and the constant redevelopment and construction within the City.

We call for the City Administration, in particular, District 1 commissioner Ms. Patricia Asseff, city Manager Wazir Ishmael, and the Mayor Peter Bober, to abandon this initiative, protect our beach instead of taking resources away from it, and maintain our lifeguards as an essential part of this community.
