China: Outlaw all wildlife markets that start pandemics
The Issue
The world is under attack by the novel coronavirus (virus name: SARS-CoV-2, disease name: COVID-19) that has become a global pandemic. Governments are scrambling to figure out how to contain it.
So how and where did it start? We know that it started in a wildlife market in Wuhan, China, a market where people go to buy wild animals to eat them. But did you know that the SARS epidemic in 2003 started in a similar market in Guangzhou? Or that the Chinese government temporarily shut down these markets after the SARS pandemic but then allowed them to open again?
Why does the Chinese government continue to allow the operation of these markets, which pose a constant threat to the health of the public not only in China, but the entire world, with their horribly unhygienic practices and their complete lack of government oversight?

These markets might have served a purpose 40-50 years ago, when people in China were starving. There is no need for them anymore, now that China is an integral part of the global economic community.
The Chinese government already shut down these markets now again in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic:

But they might open these horrible markets again after the pandemic is contained.
Let's make sure that these cruel, inhumane, virus-breeding, dangerous markets are shut down for good before they cause yet another pandemic!
