After speaking to the Alabama Historic Commission, 410 S. McDonough is within the historical district but has not been registered. Thanks to Rebekah, the GIS Coordinator, I now have all the forms necessary to add this 100 years old building to the Alabama Register which will not only bring recognition to it's historical significance in education but also to it's real property value and size further emphasizing it's potential to be renovated and repurposed as the city's first STEM-based Children's Museum.
