Build more animal shelters and send aggressive strays there rather than killing them. They turn aggressive because we fail to give them food, care and sterilization. So the fault is ours.
The Issue
Right since inception, dogs have been man'sbest friends. They do not bite unless t-hey have sufficient reasons to. Stray dogs in India are subject to many brutalities. There are many people who misbehave with them just because they think dogs are a nuisance, when nuisance itself is a subjective term. Drivers are careless towards them, they are not given food, when we ought to do so, stones are thrown at them and many a times even peaceful and loving do-gs are brutally killed for- no reason.
It is not only a crime, but one of the biggest sins to think that the planet solely belongs to us and so we have the right to eliminate any creature we do not like, especially when they are at out mercy, and defenceless. They have as much right as we, and it is shocking when a Government, an institution elected to protect the right, passes order to kill innocent strays. It not only encourages violence, but a gross violation of the animal welfare law which prohibits killing of stray dogs.
Let us go to any extent to stop such gross injustice and violence openly on the streets of Kerela. Please sign the petition to discourage any one from taking any such inhuman step in future.
