Reviewing the increasing no of complaints and consumer sufferings including defaults by Unitech on Fixed Deposits of Investors, NCLT has asked Unitech Directors and Promoters not to leave India without permissions. Alarming state of affairs, huge defaults and sufferings and consumer fear that the promoters may find a way out of country and vanish has resulted in this step. All co financial details, personal assets of promoters etc have been asked for in details and several land banks/projects in country which does not have any encumbrances have been asked to be liquidated to pay harassed and cheated consumers. A dead line of August 22 has been set by NCLT. Our top Govt officials and Apex Judiciary should now seriously review all aspects before another disaster and money siphoning case comes out of India. NCLT also believes that all financial numbers/status presented by Unitech are not factual and many details manufactured.
