"Removal of caste from elections can be done by not disclosing the surnames of the competing candidate and non-disclosure of their caste to the general voters, i.e. addition of a non-disclosure clause to election rules and regulations"

On the day of Independence, India got freedom from the British Empire, but it could never free itself from the shackles of caste posing as an obstruction towards the path of development for our nation as a whole, specially when it has itself effects on elections.

This is where we go wrong, this is where the true spirit and purpose of free and fair elections are neglected. 

This practice of caste politics then affects our development policies,  because the winning candidate focuses on development of the people of his community, rather than development as a whole.

It is now, the time to take some corrective action and eradicate the caste and religion based favouritism from Indian elections and ensure free and fair elections. 

How can the problem be tackled?

It is not possible to remove the system from India so easily, but we can start off small.The first thing that needs to be done is removal of caste from Elections. 

How can we implement the change?

●Whenever a new candidate registers himself with the election commission of India, he should be instructed to keep his caste details private.
●Promotions based on religion or a particular community should be strictly prohibited,  and there should be strict measures taken for such actions.
●Caste based favourtism should be a punishable offence.

● Creation of awareness among voters, regarding the negative impacts of this system.
