Tell the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors to vote YES to approve the Schools FY18 Budget and keep the property tax rate at 0.96%.

The Chesterfield County Public Schools FY18 budget, the first operating budget balanced to the county government's funding target in years, was approved by the School Board in March 2017.  It needs to be approved by the Board of Supervisors before it becomes official; they will vote on it at their next board meeting on Wednesday, April 26.

Our schools depend on keeping the real estate tax rate at 0.96% for FY18.  In public meetings, the Board of Supervisors heard overwhelming support from the Community to maintain the tax rate as is and support Chesterfield schools. 

The Board of Supervisors is now considering a penny tax reduction, which will put our schools at risk.  A penny reduction for the average household saves $3 per month, but takes away $3.5 million from our schools.
