On Monday, October 19, Chatham-Kent Municipal Council will approve or deny the rezoning application for 875 Charing Cross Road. We oppose the zoning change that would turn this historic home into an apartment building, opening the door to additional rezoning in the area.  Waiving the current "residential low density estate" zoning requirements for this property could lower property values and damage the character of the neighbourhood.
