Thank you everyone for publicising our petition - so many of you have expressed your fury and clearly the impact goes way beyond secondary school attendees. As we have a very short period of time to bring influence to bear, please, please can everyone contact their MP and Southern Rail directly (see below) - please don't assume someone else has emailed, please don't assume that one email will be enough. WE NEED TO BOMBARD THEM. MPs: We need to ask our MPs to insist on face to face meetings with Southern Rail and to ask for disclosure of the analysis and logic that underpin this decision. Your email doesn't need to be long, just say what you think and ask for action. Here is how to find name and contact details for your MP: (1) paste this link into your browser - https://www.parliament.uk/get-involved/contact-your-mp/#jump-link-2 use 'Find my constituency' on right hand side of page to find your MP's name; (2) then go to 'How do I contact my MP' slightly lower down the same page and find their surname alphabetically. Email addresses are provided. Southern: email addresses are as follows, CEO of Govia Thameslink (which manages Southern): charles.horton@gtrailway.com Customer Services: comments@southernrailway.com Can we try and promote the petition among businesses in South Croydon, as they stand to lose footfall if people are forced to take the bus from E Croydon. Likewise residents in S Croydon, who will miss the convenience of a direct train to everywhere! Keep going, everyone, there are no signs as yet that anyone is listening.
