Dear Neighbours, I wanted to share with you the progress of our petition to make our neighbourhood safe. I had the opportunity to meet with Cllr Allan Kauffman yesterday and explained to him all the issues we are experiencing and our concerns and feelings. He is going to help us find the next steps and right solution by: * Checking with the Construction Council if the pathway is registered as public or private (since we keep getting mixed comments from Bellway, Trinity and Hillingdon on this issue). This will help us identify if we will be able to install gates or not and also who should be responsible for maintenance and litter of the pathway * Talk to the antisocial behaviour department so they can be more “hands on” on our development and hopefully stop the kids before a problem escalates in magnitude * Talk to the police to explore the option of confiscating the bikes if the kids are using them in our development *Show our petition (with all the signatures and comments so far) to the Head Council to get another opinion and their feedback on this matter I know this is not a final answer to our problems but I am convinced it is the right approach to ensure we solve the problem completely and not only superficially. On my side, I will keep gathering examples of problems and photos (which you can send me to ArlaPlaceNeighbours@gmail.com) while I keep following up with Trinity, Bellway, Hillingdon and our Councillor Allan Kauffman. I will also keep you updated any time we have any progress. Thank you all for your support and I hope to have a new update soon.
