Many of my friends are transgender, non-binary, genderfluid or otherwise not cisgender. Whenever they use Google Hangouts, Gmail, or other Google products like Google Meet, Google Classroom, etc, they have to see their deadname, which doesn't represent who they actually are. When their preferred names are used, I see that they are much happier. To see them be able to change their Google name to match who they really are on the inside would be amazing.

The Deadname Remover is a plugin that allows you to change the legal name on many platforms, and is currently blocked by the administrators. If the district unblocked the Deadname Remover extension, my friends and other students could change their Google name to their preferred name, one that truly reflects them on the inside. It isn't fun to constantly see a reminder of something that you don't want to see, and this change would positively impact district mental health and create a more comfortable environment for the student population.
