Tim Taylor: 'Time Team is NOT dead yet'

To all supporters of the Mick Aston Campaign,
We have had a email from the creator of Time Team, Tim Taylor.
It is a very positive email indeed.
He states that 'Time Team is not dead', has expressed that he is happy with my campaign and will hopefully happen at the right time/place. But the decision lies with Mick's family.
As far as i know his family are happy about the campaign. But it's up to them how/if/when it will happen.
And also funding which we have started. You can donate on the fund page here: https://fundly.com/mick-aston-tribute-time-team-dig
Here is Tim Taylor's email:
Dear Lee, I was interested to see your e-mail and it is encouraging and not
surprising that such an interest exists.
I am in close contact with Mick's
family and we would want to respect their wishes regarding anything that
implied a connection.
I am sure you would already be sensitive to this both
from a personal and legal point of view.
The use of Mick's name or Time Team
could only be used with explicit legal consent of the holders of that title.
I am aware of the likely enthusiasm for something that would represent the
love people had for the program.
Mick's legacy has a life that is not
restricted to television.
Having said that, Time Team is not dead yet!
We have a number of ideas and plans that are developing and as usual funding is
an issue.
We have been working on a project called Time Team's Dig Village
which may bear fruit and I would hope that the loyalty and enthusiasm that
people had for the Time Team programs will eventually meet up with the
response it deserves.
Many thanks for the encouragement that your initiative
seems to have created.
I think we are waiting for the right moment and right
vehicle to match it with.
Best Wishes. Tim Taylor (Series Producer and
Creator, Time Team.'
A great and positive email for the future. We have one more article in the Liverpool Echo next week.
We will then take a step back and be patient as Micks family will be still grieving and hopefully in good time they will grant their permission for the go ahead. In the meantime we will keep trying to fund raise as much as we can to go towards a possible episode.
Thanks
Lee
