The revised zoning plan for Richland High School in Prosper is set to open with only grades 9th and 10th, adding a new grade each year. The current state of Prosper High School is extremely overcrowded. Over 4,400 students are attending a school built for 2,000. The hallways are bombarded with kids and some classes have reached over 40 students.

This is a perfect opportunity for Prosper to give students a choice to switch schools for the sake of alleviating the extreme overcrowding at PHS. By changing the zoning plan to include all grades from the start, we can ensure that both schools operate efficiently and provide better learning environments for our children.

By allowing students to attend a school closer to their homes, transportation becomes more manageable, reducing the burden on families and the district, including the insane levels of traffic. 

Giving students 11-12th grade the choice will allow them to choose between sports and academics depending on their situation.
