I spend a lot of time driving when it's dark, and the reflection of headlights in my mirrors is a serious distraction. Headlights have gotten much brighter over the last 20 years, making night driving increasingly difficult and dangerous. Current Iowa laws restrict window tinting on front windows to levels that do not adequately reduce glare from these intense lights. Allowing darker tints would improve safety by reducing glare and eye strain for drivers like me who are frequently on the road at night.
