Change the TLBAA rule for measuring Miniature Texas Longhorns

Change the TLBAA rule for measuring Miniature Texas Longhorns
The Issue
Measuring Miniature Texas Longhorns should be straightforward, yet the current rules set by the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America (TLBAA) are anything but clear. This ongoing confusion directly impacts breeders and enthusiasts alike, making it difficult to ensure accuracy and consistency in measurement.
As a breeder who takes pride in Texas Longhorns, I find the TLBAA's current method for measuring Miniature Texas Longhorns to be convoluted. This confusion isn't just a minor inconvenience; it affects competitions, sales, and breed standards, which are all crucial aspects of maintaining the quality and integrity of our beloved Longhorns.
The TLBAA measuring method is not only difficult to interpret but also leaves room for inconsistent results. This discrepancy can cause disputes among breeders, lead to unfair judging in competitions, and ultimately diminish the credibility that the TLBAA upholds.
I propose a revision of the measuring rules that simplifies the current process. By establishing a clear and straightforward guideline, we can promote fairness, improve uniformity in measurements, and eliminate confusion. This will help breeders focus on what truly matters—raising healthy and exemplary Miniature Texas Longhorns.
I measure all my animals as follows and propose the associations correct theirs to read as well. "To measure have your animals set with feet set square or in proper and correct show ring profile stance on firm even surface. Place device, level or measureing stick arm, across the back at the hip and measure from the ground. The hook bone can serve as your guide to find correct place on animal to measure their back. Here is a graph to show an example
We need your support to raise awareness about this issue and urge the TLBAA to reconsider their guidelines. Please join me in calling for a change in the measuring rules for Miniature Texas Longhorns. Sign the petition to help us create clarity and consistency in our breeding practices.
