Volleyball players in the North Texas Region (NTR) face an incredible challenge that impacts their performance, education, and overall wellbeing. The current evaluation and tryout process for future seasons begins during the most critical time in their academic and athletic lives—right after regional tournaments, over six weeks before National Tournaments and over six months before the next season!    This ill-timed scheduling overlaps with students studying for and taking final exams, engaging in end-of-year school activities, and transitioning academically. It's an enormous strain on our young athletes.

Moving the evaluations and tryouts to a period post-Nationals will significantly reduce stress on our athletes. Giving them the necessary time to focus on their current year's finals and end-of-year responsibilities will lead to a balanced schedule, enhancing their mental health and allowing them to channel their energy into performing their best both academically and athletically.

There is a workable solution. By moving the NTR volleyball evaluations and tryouts until after Nationals, athletes can complete their season, focus on their academics, and be fully prepared for their evaluations, allowing them to showcase their skills under optimal conditions.
