Hi we are a group from the Netherlands who love boats. The only problem is that we need to be 18 to get our license. At the moment the cops don't like us because we don't have a license and we are too young to get one. We want to change the age for a boating license to 16 years old.

Why do we want this?

At the moment al 16year olds are driving boats illegal. The cops now are just punishing them and the kids are learning nothing. Secondly its also un save because not al the teenagers know the rules. Now they are giving really expensive fines to the teenagers, what if we lower the age for a license to 16? Then al the teenagers will know the rules and it is a lot saver on the water. The police will have more time for real criminals that transport drugs or people that drown. And first of all, no more mad people in the port because we are doing something illegal. So the conclusion is it's two times saver then before on the water if we lower the age for a license to 16, and the people on the side of the water won't be mad at us anymore.

How are we going to do this?

We can let us hear with this petition. Secondly we can let the cops know the next time we want to change. But first of al we want to let us hear by this petition and hope we don't have to see the cops ever again.
