The Issue

Sharks aren’t villains. They’re protectors. Every time a shark is killed, the balance of the ocean tips further out of control.

Right now, outdated shark culling laws are destroying our oceans. Sharks are being slaughtered in the name of “safety” — but culling doesn’t make swimmers safer. What it does cause is chaos in the ecosystem:

With fewer sharks, certain fish populations explode.
Those fish overgraze on vital plants like seagrass and algae.
Without those plants, the ocean loses oxygen and stability.
And every day, our ocean becomes weaker, sicker, closer to collapse.
Sharks have survived for 400 million years, but they cannot survive this. And if the oceans die, so do we.

We don’t need to kill sharks to protect people. Safer, modern solutions exist: drone patrols, shark barriers, relocation programs, and education on safer swimming practices. These protect swimmers without destroying marine life.

Every shark matters. Every second matters. If we don’t end shark culling now, we risk losing not just sharks — but the very heartbeat of our planet.

🦈 Please, sign and share. Raise your voice for the ocean’s guardians before it’s too late.
