I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets a little bit sad driving by the closed down, empty unloved, neglected drive- in; In Westville, Nova Scotia everyday.

It has been closed for quite some time now, since Empire theatres changed to Cineplex..

I think since then Sobeys has bought from Cineplex and sold it to a private buyer that owns the land. My plan would be to contact them, see how much they bought it for; and if there's anything we as a WHOLE COUNTY plus some could do to buy it from them. If that is possible I would like to get funding and donations  from all local areas that would be interested in seeing it re open. I will also be doing fundraisers for it, (if a go)

As for the movies themselves. We have alot of high technology now, along with "copywriting and screening" we understand there will be some conflict in this. Not to worry though. They've done it before and they can do it again.

This was.. and still is, a very big piece of my childhood and many many others and I wish it was here for future generations. (Our children) In this day and age some barley like to spend time with our loved ones unless "we have to"..

If given the opportunity I would like to Contact The Buyer Personally and ask them what the reasoning for buying the land was.. and if they have any plans for it.

Seeing it go to waste makes my heart so upset. It was the only drive in we have as a small town/community and they ended it for other "higher business" purposes.

If this was a big part of your childhood and you'd like to be involved and see it reopen please sign. My petition and spread spread spread!!!!
