Private colleges of West Bengal, affiliated under MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology formerly known as WBUT) are now asking for compulsory certification in extracurricular courses known as MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) before they can hand over our HONOURS degree. These courses should be done from MAKAUT affiliated platforms (SWAYAM, NPTEL, COURSERA, EDX, etc) and the courses should be under MAKAUT prescribed list. The problem is the 2018-21 batch is suffering a lot since a few days left for them to graduate (July 2021) and this should have been told before but they are notifying us in the eleventh hour.
