In 2021, I lost my father to a driver not paying attention and rear-ending my father on olde Scotland road, which resulted in him going into on coming traffic and losing his life. The driver that rear-ended him was never held accountable . In April of 2025, our community lost two 82 year old members at the exact same location, in the exact same tragedy that took my father. How many members of our community do we need to lose before something is done about this road? This petition is to show support on my recommendation to pendot to do a traffic study on this road. I have recommended that they factor in the speed limit on this road, and also take into account the amount of accidents this road produces. Whether these accidents were fatal or not. Olde Scotland road needs something changed whether it be the speed limit with police presence, adding a stop light or even the possibility of adding a turning lane to avoid these rear-end accidents. This community does not need to lose anymore of its members due to this road. So I ask you to please sign this petition and voice your opinion on getting this area safer!
