Based upon a suggestion from one of the petition signers, I've updated the petition to include a list of ~ 20 people who collectively might have the ability to change the world.

The list includes prominent climate scientists who are recognized experts in their fields, certain politicians like Al Gore and UN hdead Antonio Guterres, the heads of climate centric NGO's,  and other public figures who are outspoken on the climate issue like Greta Thunberg, Bill Gates and Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

I'm confident that if this small group of people could be persuaded to embrace a name change, they have the collective power to change the world. 

The path to reaching them and persuading them is not obvious. If just one or two could be reached and persuaded, they each a platform which might be used to persuade the others. 

Reaching and persuading famous people with big platforms is not something I have successful experience with.
