Change line rules at Udupi Krishna Temple

Change line rules at Udupi Krishna Temple
The Issue
For more than 50 years, my family has been visiting the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple regularly for darshan. Like us, many local devotees have been coming here every day for decades with deep faith and respect.
But recently, things have changed—and not in a good way.
The current Paryaya administration has made crowd management so restrictive that many locals are unable to visit the temple daily like before. It feels as though regular devotees are being discouraged from coming for darshan.
Only one entry point is open, while other earlier entry routes are closed. This has created heavy congestion, long waiting times, and in many cases, devotees are being turned away without darshan.
This is not how this temple has ever functioned.
For years, the temple managed crowds smoothly while still allowing devotees to come regularly and peacefully. Local devotees have always followed rules and have not created problems for other devotees.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for fair and respectful access, like before.
Reopen the previously used entry points.
Reduce congestion and long waiting times.
Allow regular/local devotees to visit daily without unnecessary restrictions.
Maintain discipline without blocking genuine devotees.
This temple is not just a place—it is part of our daily life and devotion.
If regular devotees are slowly pushed away, the very spirit of the temple will be lost.
If you believe temples should remain open, accessible, and respectful to genuine devotees, please support and share this petition.
