Protest Planned For August 27, 2022 from 8am to 12pm

Greetings Everyone!
Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 8 am to 12 pm at the Elaine I. Sprauve Library and Museum of Cultural Arts in historic Enighed, St. John, meeting at the Animal Care Center!
There is still no affirmative opening date for this facility operated by DPNR's Division of Libraries Archives and Museums with newly hired Territorial director, Amy DeSorbo who interviewed me in the latter part of 2021, to return to this facility. Unfortunately, I was not selected. I asked the question, "Do you have an MLS degree?" when asked if I had any. I was quickly brushed off and told to email any questions, which I did and never got a response.
With no affirmative opening date or word of an opening date from anyone in this administration, the St. John community will come together and demand a 12-point library needs by the community, who are the patrons of this library.
Do you want a VI library card? Do you have a VI library card?
I sent this email to DeSorbo:

Greetings Director DeSorbo,
Happy Thursday!
This summer, I am hosting a summer lending library as part of the Readers are Leaders Summer Amazing Reading Race© and one of my questions to the families is whether they have a library card and would they want one for their children. I would like to share these results with you once completed this Saturday at Parent Orientation.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I never heard a response.
Let's come together and demand that our public libraries be directed by qualified individuals who have the best interest of the community! We are tired of absentee landlords. Stop treating St. John as though only visitors come to visit and leave. What about those families on St. John and those with children who have absolutely no access to facilities of learning (parks, libraries, schools)? It's sad!
See you all soon! Thank you for signing this petition and now showing up physically to see this facility, sharing books & DVDs, listening to a story, and sharing ideas for a 12-point library community needs and demands for a change in leadership of the VI Public Libraries.
Thank you for your support!
-Dr. C. M. Sewer, CFLE, Librarian, Cataloger, Archivist
