As an avid supporter of children's entertainment, I am writing this petition to urge ITVX to change the name of their kids' streaming service from "ITVX Kids" to "CITVX." This request is driven by the belief that the current name lacks creativity and fails to capture the attention and imagination of young viewers.

Growing up, I fondly remember watching Children's ITV (CITV), a channel that provided engaging and entertaining content for kids. However, when I recently discovered that ITV has planned to replace it with a service called  "ITVX Kids," it left me feeling disappointed. The new name sounds too generic and lacks the charm associated with CITV.

It is important for children's channels to have names that resonate with their target audience. By changing the name from "ITVX Kids" to "CITVX," we can evoke nostalgia among parents who grew up watching CITV while also creating an exciting brand identity for today's generation of young viewers.

Numerous kids' TV channels and streaming services have successfully incorporated their network or brand names into their children's programming titles. Names like Kids on [NETWORK], Children's [NETWORK], [NETWORK] Kidsland, or [NETWORK] Kids X are all examples of more captivating naming options. By adopting one of these alternatives, ITV can establish a stronger connection with its young audience.

While it is essential for this petition to be based on accurate information, it is challenging to provide specific statistics without access to official data from ITV itself. However, numerous successful rebranding efforts in various industries have demonstrated the positive impact a well-thought-out name change can have on consumer perception and engagement.

I also believe that the New ITV Kids strand should be aired on ITV3 instead of ITV2, as it seems a more natural home for the strand.
