The departure of many families from Friends Christian School is a clear indication that immediate action is necessary. As concerned parents, educators, and community members, we have witnessed the rising dissatisfaction with Todd Perkins in his current role as Head of School. The handling of various situations under his leadership has left many feeling unsupported and disheartened, leading to a growing exodus from our school community.

The core mission of Friends Christian School is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for all students and their families, fostering both personal and academic growth, but primarily spiritual growth and developing these childrens relationship with the Lord. Unfortunately, recent events and management decisions have undermined this mission, causing many loyal families to lose faith in the leadership. Reports of unprofessional responses, lack of transparency, and a lack of effective communication have further escalated concerns amongst the community.

Friends Christian School has always been a cornerstone of our community, known not only for its academic excellence but also for its commitment to upholding Christian values of empathy, respect, and honesty. Under Todd Perkins' leadership, we have seen these values being compromised. Numerous parents have voiced their concerns, yet feel their voices are not being heard.

We believe that for Friends Christian School to regain its standing and to continue providing a safe and encouraging environment for our children, it is imperative for new leadership to take charge—leadership that aligns with the Christ centered moral principals that originally drew us to this school. Fresh perspectives and renewed dedication to the school's foundational values are vital.

Therefore, we urge the board of Friends Christian School and the Church Elders of Yorba Linda Friends to take immediate action by requesting the resignation of Todd Perkins as Head of School. Learning from schools that have undergone successful leadership changes, new leadership often brings rejuvenated energy and vision, which can restore confidence and reignite hope within the community.
