I am asking for your assistance in getting ALDOT to evaluate these intersections for appropriate safety improvements.

The stretch of road between Joe Foley Rd and Hwy 90/CR 87 intersection in Robertsdale, Alabama is a perilous juncture that puts countless lives at risk every day. As a resident and regular commuter through this area, it's heart-wrenching to see the danger looming every time someone approaches this intersection. Trucks parked at Maw Maw’s block the view from CR 87 looking east, forcing drivers to inch dangerously forward just to see if they can safely proceed. It is clear this is not a safe situation.

Also, the way around that intersection is a short stretch and highly populated road that people use to avoid the dangerous caution light. Drivers are using Joe Foley Rd as a shortcut and not stopping at either stop sign. Something better has to be done, even if it means shutting down Joe Foley Rd on the highway 90 side (entry only from 87).

I've personally seen the aftermath of the collisions here, and I can assure you that something must be done to prevent further tragedies. We cannot wait for another accident to claim another life or cause life-altering injuries. It's unacceptable that this has continued for so long without action.
