As of today April 12,2023 i’m finally ready to come out about this because it's happened more than once..East cowetas system is messed up! I got suspended 2 times in 2 weeks because of mental outbreaks. The first time it was because I couldn't control my panic attack and yes I understand I was yelling but your job as an administrator is to help the students! Today I got my lunch changed I was with some friends and I went to them and a teacher wanted to say what do I need I told her specifically those were the people I really only knew in there and that I had came with them she told me to leave because one of my friends got in trouble and I did not know that at the time..she told me to leave to go sit down and this was my first day in there I did not know what to do so I just stood in the corner and she just stared me down and again said go sit down but I told her those were the only people I knew and I have really bad anxiety and I don’t like feeling like i’m lost and that’s how I felt. I left when she told me to go to the office I threw my pass away she comes and says do I have  something to say right after i went out the door the opposite way from her she met me going to the front when she said this.I told her no and she sent me to the office still...   I had a pass the admin  even verified with the teacher that sent me and then he said i'm lying about  being in that lunch and that I didn't have a pass when the teacher verified it with them and said they did send me? Then they decided to suspend me.. The Coweta School System is messed  up and i'm tired of holding the way I feel because this has caused so much more problems with my mental health..If they cared they would try to help us kids but some not all barely act like they care about kids mental health…Some teachers/admin I met so far here have some of the worst attitudes towards kids..The teacher that suspended me was completely acting under a unprofessional state  when she asked me if I had something to say to her with some attitude towards me and I just said no shrugged my shoulders walked away..Mind you I did not yell once at her she kept raising her voice at me for no reason. The solution I am wanting is for East Coweta’s  admin to realize what they need to do and care more about students health. You can’t just assume a kid is okay by just looking at them..If a kid is getting talked to or they did something instead of trying to make the situation worse by trying to bump heads with them I would like to see the school give more care to the safety plans and 504 plans..these are here to protect kids for a reason why are these plans being so ignored? What I mean by that is I had situations where my teachers wouldn’t let me go to seek help from a school counselor when i have a plan in place for a reason and also when a kid is getting talked to by admin about a situation and they are acting off and not being cooperative with you maybe before just yelling and getting upset and sending kids to iss or oss try to calm down the situation by asking simple questions like was your day okay today? Or what’s going on making you feel like this? Something like that and it could help a kid feel much more better getting their feelings out telling you why they are acting like this..and with the safety and 504 plan maybe while your talking to them see if they have something on their profile and look to see what triggers and stuff they have going on before jumping right into being rude and unhelpful to the situation…
