I AM THE MAN WHO CELEBRATED EASTER ON MARCH 22nd 2026!

We did it, on March 25th (three days after Easter Sunday) we officially surpassed 100 signatures, a milestone only about 1 in 5 change.org campaigns ever reach, which shows that this campaign is about a SERIOUS ISSUE for Western Christians which NEEDS TO BE DEBATED IN PARLIAMENT IN THE UK and addressed across the world!

We need many more people to sign, share on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Nextdoor and WhatsApp and chip-in as much money as possible to maximise as much signatures as possible!

Given that many Orthodox Christians alive today have already seen both their earliest, third-earliest and latest dates within the last 50 years, and have their second-earliest, second-latest and third-latest dates coming up within the next 30 years – Western Christians should have the same experience and should not be barred and cheated out from having the same experience as our Orthodox counterparts!

The 18th Birthday, Twenties and 90th Birthday in 2065 argument:

To add to my frustration, many Orthodox Christians alive today who experienced their earliest possible Easter as recently as 2010 are not even 18 yet (too young to buy alcohol in the UK) and many more alive today (born 1981/1982) got to see both their earliest and latest dates while they were still in their 20s

An Orthodox Christian born in 1975 and living to the age of 90 in 2065 not only gets to see their absolute earliest and latest Easter dates, but also literally date WITHIN A WEEK OF BOTH the earliest and latest possible dates as well as their middle date (April 21st New Style) multiple times!

Having experienced turning 30 myself in February 2023, I know darn well that many people in their 20s hope to achieve certain things before they turn 30 such as renting a flat, getting married or having children – well an Orthodox Christian born in 1981 or 1982 got to see both the earliest and latest Easter dates (with those born before 1980 seeing their third-earliest date), so:

ITS NOT FAIR!

ITS NOT FAIR!

ITS JUST NOT FAIR!

I’M SO ANGRY, I HATE THE GREGORIAN CALENDAR EASTER CYCLE BECAUSE IT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST THE FINITE LIMITS OF THE HUMAN LIFESPAN!

While I personally have achieved my goal of celebrating Easter on March 22nd 2026 and in the 21st Century, we still need to act to make it the official date for Easter Sunday (with bank holidays and all that) at some point within the next 30 years (ideally in 2043 or 2054) so that Western Christians can experience what our Orthodox friends across the globe have seen!

2026 has three different dates for Easter, two official dates in April (5th and 12th) and one unofficial/unauthorised date in March (22nd) because I have made it happen, however we need to demand policymakers, churches and religious authorities to change the official date of Easter Sunday in 2043 or 2054.

I have changed my mind and specifically chosen those years and am NO LONGER targeting 2037 or 2048 because Western Easter is already on March 29th those years (and IN the month of March), and does not coincide with Orthodox Easter like it does in 2037 or 2048.

I’d prefer to retain the original 5th April Easter date in 2037 and 2048 because the dates happen to align with Orthodox Easter (on its second-earliest date) in those years, so that gives us six extra years to campaign and so we have 17 (or 28) years to plan!

2043 is a good choice for the move to March 22nd because it is exactly 100 years since 1943 (a year with Western Easter on April 25th, its latest possible date).

When we talk about time zones, we say thinks like “London is 8 hours ahead of Los Angeles”. I am using this analogy in my observance of Lenten feasts as have been two weeks ahead of the rest of the UK and the world, such as Ash Wednesday on 4th February and Mothering Sunday on 1st March despite the “wrong” official dates being two weeks later.

The rest of the UK is still in Lent, but I have already observed/celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ and eaten all my chocolate eggs, so it’s not an April Fool, 2026 has a third unofficial Easter date – Sunday 22nd March!

Only during the period between Wednesday 18th February and Saturday 21st March did “my Lent” overlap with everyone else – my Lent started on Wednesday 4th February and everyone else is a fortnight behind. I am “in denial” and cannot even look at an April 2026 calendar because it will show “Easter on the wrong date”, which is why I deleted the Google calendar off my phone and am avoiding certain places (like shops and parks that host Easter events) until after Alice in Wonderland Day

Before Christmas 2025, aside from my very costly Amazon purchase I made my family a homemade calendar which marked Easter Sunday as 22nd March, paper was already supplied by my family so did not need to spend extra money of this and found images of April 2026 calendars which did not show the 5th as Easter.

I started my 2025 Christmas shopping very early (in September 2025) to purchase all the Busy Bee “birthdays” undated diaries on Amazon.co.uk and put all the detail into it as it took me over a month to manually edit them, it was a great masterpiece converting them into homemade 2026 diaries!

It was the BarbaraWalter4Scale Reddit post which I accidentally came across in May 2025 that drove me to do something about it and by launching this unique campaign, I have shared my story about celebrating Easter on March 22nd 2026 (not April 5th) with the world!

We need more people to use Google’s AI overview and type “Easter petition” or “autism Easter petition” so they can access it and get more organic signatures.
