In the last three months two exciting events have occurred. Both William "Chip" Morris, Dean of Students, and Annette Robbins, Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards, have both been "reassigned."
The Watertown Daily Times reported on January 23rd, 2016 William Morris's "has requested a leave of absence for the spring semester." According to an email was distributed by Rick A. Miller, vice president for enrollment management, "after which he will have a new job." The Watertown Daily Times pointed out "the message did not explain why Mr. Morris was being reassigned, nor did college spokeswoman Alexandra J. Wilke specify the reason when asked, indicating that the college can’t speak about personnel matters, according to policy."
Annette Robbins on the other hand had a less public casual change in position. According to a confidential student source Annette Robbins "is very stressed" and no longer wants the position. Most speculation was around campus assumed that she would not be keeping her job, and an announcement would be made. Some sources strongly believe to her relocation will be to the admissions department. Just recently SUNY Potsdam posted the following add for Annette's position with a June 1st, 2016 start date. I hope someone highly qualified, and empathetic applies for the position. Please apply if you feel qualified.
As for the report SUNY Potsdam has promised to produce in December, January, February, and March has not been released. I would not hold your breath.
