Challenge US Automakers to Create a Kennedy-inspired, Armored Lincoln Continental

Challenge US Automakers to Create a Kennedy-inspired, Armored Lincoln Continental
The Issue
As a cousin of Abraham Lincoln and a car enthusiast with familial ties to General Motors, my passion for the Lincoln Continental is deeply personal. My first car was a white (1991) Lincoln Continental. My grandfather, Joe Lincoln, was a member of the UAW at GM and had a hand in designing the first Corvette by modifying doors off a Cadillac. Today, I am addressing a proposal to honor past traditions and drive us towards the future, through the crafting of an iconic car, symbolic of our shared humanity.
This petition challenges Ford and Tesla, two of the industry-leading automakers in the United States, to co-create a white Lincoln Continental with a convertible top and suicide rear passenger doors. This tribute to the Kennedy motorcade signifies not just an ode to history, but also a stride into a new era. It represents the unique blend of innovation and tradition that stands as a hallmark of our great nation.
This flagship vehicle, if realized, would be a hardened Continental fit for deployment throughout the Western Hemisphere, symbolizing our close ties with our foreign allies. We envision this car to go beyond just that - we propose that it becomes a gift to these nations, epitomizing the shared values we stand for.
To further honor the rich tradition of Presidential transport, we suggest that Cadillac also takes a crucial role in developing another motorcade inspired by 1950s Chevrolet or Cadillac. It is the perfect opportunity to acknowledge the romantic gesture to Ford Lincoln, while continuing to share this rich tradition with others.
By joining this initiative, we thereby challenge our leaders in the auto industry to demonstrate world-class innovation and craftsmanship while honoring our shared ancestry and forward-thinking spirit. Sign this petition to make this vision of an armored, symbolic Lincoln Continental a reality. The future of automotive legacy relies on our collective action.
