The issue

It's not only "gang" or motorcycle club members that are concerned and deeply troubled by the impacts of the Gang Patch Law 2024 on our freedoms of self-expression, free speech, and privacy. This law, hastily drafted for political agendas, has potential repercussions that could detrimentally affect our society. Ignoring legal protocol, our Bill of Rights, and the warnings given, this law sets a worrying precedent. Its foundation on Australia's similar system, a society starkly different from ours, is unsound. Statistics suggest no significant drop in crime rates following the implementation of their respective laws. This concerns us all the more as there is no apparent benefit, but grave risks to our society.

Many sectors, including our police force, are put at risk by this legislation. Our inherent rights and freedoms are threatened and this, we cannot take lightly. It's time we question this law's existence and examine its implications thoroughly. I urge you all to join us in this fight for our rights. Reconsider and repeal the Gang Patch Law 2024. Please sign this petition to have your voice heard.

DontTreadOnMe NZPetition starterThis is more than just about gangs. This is about us as a society and concerns every New Zealander. While society needs laws they need to be responsible, well thought out and not infringe our Bill of Rights.
