Challenge Stereotypes: Not All Latinas Wear 'Copy and Paste' Makeup

The Issue

I am writing this petition because of a personal incident that occurred with my friend. She made a comment stating that 'copy and paste' makeup is how all Latinas look. This stereotype deeply upset me, as it generalizes an incredibly diverse group based on appearance alone.

Latinas come from various countries, each with its own unique culture, traditions, and beauty standards. It's important to remember that not all Latinas wear makeup in the same way or even at all. According to a study by the Nielsen Company in 2015, Latina women are more likely than non-Hispanic white women to spend money on beauty products (Nielsen Company). However, this doesn't mean they all use these products identically.

Moreover, choosing not to wear makeup should never be considered as catfishing or deceptive behavior. It's simply a personal choice about how one wants to present themselves.

By signing this petition, you're taking a stand against harmful stereotypes and promoting diversity within the Latina community. You're also supporting the idea that every individual has the right to express their identity without judgement or prejudice.

Please sign this petition today and help us challenge these stereotypes!
