We are organizing a protest to address the unjust denials of Tow Operator and Tow Truck Driver Certificates, which are threatening the livelihoods of numerous operators and drivers. These individuals have been denied their Certificates without the opportunity to appeal, putting established businesses at risk of closure. If this trend continues, by July 1, 2024, many experienced Tow Truck Drivers may lose their jobs and ability to support their families due to past criminal records, leading to a rise in unemployment rates in our province.

Furthermore, the lack of appeal options for license denials goes against section 2(e) of the Canadian Bill of Rights, which guarantees the right to a fair hearing for the determination of rights and obligations. Our legal system is built on principles of rehabilitation, yet seasoned Tow Truck Drivers are facing the loss of their only source of employment due to a new law that prohibits them from working based on past transgressions.

Join us in protesting against these injustices and demanding a fair appeals process for all MTO denials. Let's stand together to protect the rights and livelihoods of our fellow operators and drivers. Your voice and presence can make a difference in ensuring a fair and just system for all.

The protest is scheduled to take place on July 8th at 12 o'clock noon at 301 St Paul St, St. Catharines, ON, L2R 7R4, Canada. Your support and presence at the protest are crucial in standing up for our rights and ensuring fairness in the licensing process. Let's make our voices heard together!
