The Issue

Dear Sir/Madam,

Sir, we are wrting to you issue pertaining regarding the recent advertisement 02/2020 regarding recruitment of "Scientist B" in the Central Pollution Control Board, the essential eligibility qualification for application of said post i.e Scientist B, Advertised as Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or Institution in Civil/Chemical/Environmental– 10 posts, Mechanical - 01 post and Mining – 01 post. Preferential: Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering / Technology
Essential: Master’s Degree in Natural/Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or Institution – 01 post Preferential: NET Qualified / Ph.D.

Sir, it is very unfortunate that Subject Environmental Science is not even mentioned in the qualification criteria. However, the subject environmental science/studies, has more relevance and significance. There are around more than 200 universities and Institution in india who offer the environmental science subject in postgraduate and PhD degree. The environmental science students are more qualified, in terms of skill and training. They are the real stakeholder for the above advertised post. In this regard on behalf of environmental science degree holder and myself request you to kindly modify the advertisement.
