Stop the removal of an abundant ecological habitat

The issue

Central Coast Council has proposed the removal of OVER TWENTY,  20 metre eucalyptus trees to kerb, gutter and pave Lushington Street, East Gosford. While the street is in need of an upgrade, these trees are over 50 years old and house a mini ecological habitat. Including kookaburras, rosellas, king parrots, lorikeets, sulphur-crested cockatoos, frog-mouthed owls, possums, magpies, frogs, butcher birds, bower birds, pigeons and other native and nocturnal wildlife. If these trees are removed, this tiny ecosystem will sadly disappear. Not only this, but once the trees are removed there will be both increased noise pollution and environmental pollution. The trees currently act as a buffer to combat these, without them these factors will increase 10 fold.

Help save the mini ecosystem of Lushington street and stop the removal of these trees!! The animals depend on it!!
