Eight years ago, YouTube creators started creating video content that had inappropriate themes that were targeted at children using bright colours and at the time, popular children's franchises, which was called Elsagate.

Action was taken against this stuff but recently, there has been a resurgence of children's videos with inappropriate, disturbing themes such as extreme violence, horror, sexual contents.

Children can find these Elsagate videos by searching on YouTube for something they like for example "minecraft" or "peppa pig" and when watched, the YouTube feed will recommend more, this can escalate to obscenity.

Although parental supervision is very important for children with YouTube, these videos are made for children and YouTube should take action and prevent history repeating itself.
