An Appeal to Stop the Airing of the Sakristan: a BL series directed by Darryl Yap.
The Issue
The SAKRISTAN Movie Series of BL directed by Darryl Yap, is about two male altar servers who are in a relationship. It is a serious offense to the teachings of the Catholic Church/ Canon 2357 states that Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
The Holy Mother Church is clear on this matter. It will not tolerate such actions like that, as Pope Pious V said, "Would anyone, however, presume to commit such an act, he should know that he will incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul." The rejection of homosexual behavior that is found in the Old Testament is well known. In Genesis 19, two angels in disguise visit the city of Sodom and are offered hospitality and shelter by Lot. During the night, the men of Sodom demand that Lot hand over his guests for homosexual intercourse. Lot refuses, and the angels blind the men of Sodom. Lot and his household escape, and the town is destroyed by fire “because the outcry against its people has become great before the Lord” (Gen. 19:13).

We, altar servers around the Philippines along with the devout faithful Catholics denounce the series and are calling to STOP the Airing of SAKRISTAN. We should abide by the natural and divine laws of God. We should be a good example to the society. We should not endorse or make anything that is against The Holy Catholic Church.
