The court date of June 13th is coming up soon. I have not had any answers from The Humane Society of Missouri, besides their advocate offering to work with the prosecutor in the case. The horses are still there. I'm very discouraged by this, because these animals should have been removed long ago. As evident during the last court appearance, the 'good ole boy' system is alive and well here. I want him to not plead down. There are many people who have signed this petition who feel that same way, and there are over 1500 people who think the animals should be removed. So where is The Humane Society of Missouri? I was advised by law enforcement and court offices that HSM is the entity capable of deciding on and removing the animals. Regardless of what his charges are and how his court experience goes those animals need to be removed. I will be there on the 13th. Depending on what happens then, I will proceed with this initiative appropriately. If any supporters would lIke to also call the HSM, that is perfectly acceptable and I would be very grateful.
