A 29-year-old Georgia woman, Christian Sprouse, was hit in her eye, face and neck by fragments of flying metal when the air bags deployed in a low-speed collision in her 2004 Civic. She was nearly killed, and is still undergoing surgery to address scarring.
She had attempted to get the safety recall performed on her car, but the dealer told her that repair parts were not available.
CarMax, the largest retailer of used cars in the nation, is perfectly willing to expose its customers to horrific injuries and death from faulty air bags, knowing full well they cannot be repaired, due to shortages of repair parts.
