I am asking you to sign this petition, so that we can indicate to Carmaerthenshire County Council that there is strong opposition to the removal of the School Crossing Patrol at Bryn Elli. Dafen, Llanelli. 

We have been told that a risk assessment was undertaken and it was deemed that it was unsafe due to social distancing issues and a survey undertaken has shown that there is not enough need to warent a School Crossing Patrol, so the removal is a permanent one. 

The road Bryn Elli becomes very congested and is difficult to find an opening in the traffic to find safe passage across the road. 

This crossing is not just used by the children of Dafen Primary School, but children that also attend St. Mary's Primary school, Bryngwyn Comprehensive School and St. John Lloyds Comprehensive School.

I suggest the council reinstates the School Crossing Patrol immediately and ask individuals over the age of eleven to wear a face covering while accessing help with with the School Crossing Patrol.
