Reverse the unfair termination of Kelli S Moore

We, the undersigned, are concerned members of the St. Columbanus Church; St. Columbanus Alumni Association; Augustus Tolton Catholic Academy teachers, staff, parents, and students; former employees and students of St. Columbanus School; coaches and referees of the St. Columbanus Athletic Center.
We sign our names in unity and objections to the unfair and disrespectful dismissal of Kelli S. Moore as the Director of Finance/School Athletics at Augustus Tolton Catholic Academy and Director of the St. Colulmbanus Athletic Center (SCAC). Kelli S. Moore has a distinguished record in both positions. She has maintained school tuition/fee collections over 95 percent each year in her finance position. Other finance directors from other schools and parishes across the Archdiocese reach out the Ms. Moore for assistance with best practices for successfully collecting tuition.
The St. Columbanus Athletic Center is not only a profitable, self-sustaining entity that includes one of St. Columbanus' youth ministries, but under the guidance of Coach Kelli and her team, has grown to become one of the most active and integrated Archdiocesan facilities in Chicago. Since 2002, they've welcomed more than eighty teams/programs, nearly 1500 student-athletes, and close to 35,000 parents, fans, and spectators into our non-air conditioned, single gym facility, annually. The SCAC is one of the highlights of our legacy, a beacon of hope and safe haven for the young people and families who participate in its activities throughout the year.
In the past three years, St. Columbanus has been dictacted to about every change made. There have been no conversations regarding the impact on us as a parish nor has out feedback been solicited. We believe if we were a more affluent parish, these closed door decisions would not happen,. We want to support change that makes us a better facility to welcome God's people but want to be respected and a part of the change.
We respectfully ask to meet with Cardinal Cupich regarding the new direction our parish is taking and that the decision to remove Ms. Moore from the SCAC be reviewed and reversed for the greater good of both entities. Please feel free to contact anyone listed for personal statements.
