For many family’s, the bus to maes y Gwendraeth being stopped after Christmas is having a massive impact on how the children will get to school, the suggestion that it is safe for children to walk 3 miles through a cycle track where someone was recently in court for confronting someone in a sexual nature is ludicrous! Our children are not safe to walk 3 miles to school no matter which way they walk, what about the parents that don’t drive and would have to walk a total of 12 miles a day to get their children to school and home safely? does that sound appropriate? I’m sure the teachers wouldn’t walk 3 miles to work so why are our children expected to? Therefore we are clearly expected to take the children ourselves, so, for the working families what do they suppose we do? Do we all quit our jobs to get our children to school safely? Put more of a strain on our government? Do we keep our children off school when there is no safe way to get them there? Surely anyone with half a brain cell can see this is simply not going to work! Let’s get as many concerned parents to sign this and bring it to the council to see them try and explain themselves!
