At last, ITV News is manually captioning its shortform videos on its social media channels - both at a regional level (on accounts such as ITV Anglia, ITV Central and ITV London), and at a national level (on its ITV News and ITV Politics accounts).

This win now means BBC News, ITV News, Channel 4 News and 5 News all manually caption their social media videos, resulting in a far more accessible media landscape.

But the campaign continues. Keep an eye on my social media as I turn my attention to Sky News making their content accessible.
