Please forgive the photo- could I look more miserable to confront Supt Price? It wasn't easy after all these years of him taking more and more of our access away leaving us with none except for the winter these past 2 years. And all the while Mary Hake and he were telling the public we were harming shorebirds, an unsubstantiated accusation I take great offense to as a longtime wildlife rescuer and bird mom. (That's me as part of a team returning 7 dolphins stranded in Wellfleet to open water last week). Fortunately on the eve of his retirement he has given us access to a nice stretch of Atlantic ocean so that we may wish him a happy and peaceful retirement while hoping for a more collaborative relationship with his successor. I'm grateful for everyone's support and the recognition by the NPS that wildlife conservation and kitesurfing can coexist. http://www.capecodtimes.com/news/20170307/vf-widget-art-486D357F-4AC6-2E26-E053-0100007FB91B-pub2322?start=2
