For anyone who didn't understand how to submit your comments, simply click on the link I provided below and you will be redirected to the National Park Service website. You will find a button to click on to submit your comments along with a link to the Park Service's statement on the issue, which inaccurately portrays kitesurfers as being harmful to shorebirds and as wanting to see all restrictions lifted. This statement seems intended to elicit support for the Seashore's ban. If the NPS had accurately stated that we simply want a few areas of year round access safely away from nesting areas and crowds, the public most likely would have supported our initiative and seen just how unreasonable the Seashore Superintendent is being. The Feds are controlling the dialogue, so we need as many voices as possible in order for our side to be heard. Yours counts, so please take a few moments and tell the NPS you believe kitesurfing- properly managed- should be the future of sustainable, eco-friendly recreation at our National Seashores.
